Dani Castellano, RD, Dietitian

Dani Castellano (she, her) received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Virginia Tech in 2014 and worked for the Women Infants and Children (WIC) program as a Dietitian Technician, Registered before returning to school to complete her Dietetic Internship through Meredith College in 2017.
Dani spent the first few years of her career as a dietitian in an outpatient setting providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for various health conditions. She quickly recognized the harmful impact of Diet Culture and shifted focus to the treatment of eating disorders/disordered eating under the supervision of a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. She then went on to work for Eating Recovery Center in Denver treating adult patients at higher levels of care before transitioning into the virtual space working with families in Family Based Treatment.
Outside of full-time work Dani has hosted/co-hosted over 90 podcast episodes and written several articles with the mission of empowering people to recognize and dismantle fatphobia and Diet Culture while cultivating a healthier relationship with food and body.
Dani is in the final steps of becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and devoted to providing nutrition education and support from a Health at Every Size, anti-diet lens.
